02 Ideate on proposal submission -Ý tưởng
Join solo or form a team of maximum 3 members, pick one of the real-time challenge statements from the participating organizations and develop a business proposal for submission. After registration, you will receive a proposal template to follow, along with the guidelines on what to include. Submit your proposal by 31July, 2359 hours, GMT +7 Vietnam Time. A team of experts from AWS will evaluate the submissions based on a set of parameters and shortlist qualified teams for the next stage. Shortlisted teams will be announced on 7 August.

People between the ages of 15-30 are identified as a group that significantly impact promoting the habits of IT usage in society. Moreover, Vietnam is prioritizing the implementation of e-government with the motto of people and businesses as the centre.
The challenge: Use AWS to design an application that can connect the Government with people between the ages of 15-30. Through this application, Government can record, survey and identify trends and interests among this group, which is the basis for the Government to make appropriate policies on education and career orientation.

Hoa Binh is among Vietnam’s Top 5 general contractors. We have been leaving our mark as a main contractor on large-scale projects that are demanding in both technical and aesthetic requirements. Some examples include Le Méridien 5-Star Hotel, Saigon Centre Complex, the expanded terminal at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, and Cocobay Danang Tourist and Recreation Compound. As Hoa Binh Construction group focuses on the construction and material business community, we also recognize that the earth is our homeland and we need to protect it.
The challenge: Build an IT platform solution for worldwide young generation to contribute their efforts (education, opinions, solutions…) to keep our Earth safe in terms of Climate change, waste management, emission controls, diseases, control of weapon of mass destruction, etc…
As of September 2021, Vietnam has 397 active industrial zones with 3,7 millions of laborers are working in them. The need of managing worker movement in an industrial zone for security reasons faces a big challenge due to its condensity, crowdedness and a complexity of worker background.
The challenge: Let’s come up with an efficient technological solution to control worker movement in an industrial zone of Vietnam.
Customer data platform for financial services As digital banking becomes a more popular channel to provide service to customers, huge amount of data can be captured to better analyze and understand customers with 360-degree view.
The challenge: To build a customer data platform for the banking industry where data insights can be generated with user activities (for example, how many times a user applied credit cards, types of bills paid in a month, monthly spending habits etc).
If you require reference use case, you can consider examples like CRM (salesforce) where you can register free sandbox for testing; or doing data sourcing with AWS Glue DataBrew; or use Mockaroo to generate dummy data. T24 data on Amazon RDS for Oracle. Digital Banking (mobile app on Android, iOS, web portal), social network (Facebook, Twitter) data can be easily captured, transformed and stored for further processing and report.
Covid-19 pandemic is over in Vietnam now but a demand for a digitizing individual health care has arise.
The challenge: Build a healthcare management model (with reference to Sổ sức khỏe điện tử app) where individuals have a personal health profile. This data can be updated manual or through some smart device. It will then help the individual understand their health situation and with the professional medical service, the user can get some recommendations to their health issues. The system should follow the national medical standards.
If possible, you can connect to HIS/PACS by Dicom/HL7. The health profile can then be viewed by doctor and give out a more accurate medicinal dosage to the patient.
According to statistics from the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City, as of March 2020, the city is managing 8.55 million vehicles, including nearly 838,400 cars and more than 7.7 million motorbikes. Everyone has parking needs such as parking in apartments, supermarkets, restaurants, and workplaces. There are some challenges to traditional parking such as time-consuming cash payment sessions, users having difficulty in finding available parking spaces, unused parking spaces, etc.
The challenge: As adoption of cashless transactions in Vietnam continues to grow, please propose a solution & develop a feature for a mobile wallet that enables its users to pay for parking more conveniently.
At COP26, Vietnam joined the commitment to fight forest degradation - one of the solutions to accomplish the big goal of achieving "zero" net emissions by 2050.
The challenge: By existing data sources, especially images Remote sensing, with the tools and resources of Amazon Web Services (AWS), let's come up with a technology solution for forest monitoring, protection and development for the Government of Vietnam. If possible, illustrate with actual data.
03 Prototype development and evaluation -

Shortlisted teams go through mentorships with the challenge owners and industry experts to ensure the solution is aligned with their expectations. Teams will need to build a minimum viable prototype and demonstrate their solution, both front end and backend, in a 10-minute video for prototype evaluation. Submit your video by 21 August, 2359 hours, GMT +7 Vietnam Time. A team of experts from AWS will evaluate your prototype video based on a set of parameters and shortlist the top team for the National finale. Shortlisted teams will be announced on 24 August, by 2359 hours.

The finalist teams will showcase the final prototypes in a presentation format to the panel of judges, presenting live virtually to gain top honors. The panel of judges will feature a series of C-suite executives from our supporting sponsors and organizations.

• Best Presentation Award: US $200 worth of gift card or shopping vouchers
• Best Innovation Award: US $200 worth of gift card or shopping vouchers
• Any additional prizes provided by the company will be at the company’s sole discretion.
The top 3 shortlisted teams per company will also gain networking opportunity with companies for potential internships or employment at the company's sole discretion.

Featuring Team Ambition, Champion of 2021
Driven by the desire “to make online teaching and learning seamless”, Team Ambition from Danang University of Science and Technology took part in “Build On, Vietnam 2021” (BOVN 2021).
Powered by AWS, Team Ambition used advanced cloud technology to conceptualize and deliver their winning idea, called “Fued” (The Future of Education), an innovative learning management system (LMS).
“We signed up for BOVN as it was a great way to develop new skills, grow our networks, and create breakthrough solutions”, said Minh Nguyen, Team Ambition leader. “We were impressed by the workshop which introduced the services that AWS provides to the developer community. It helped us gain useful new information about the cloud platform, and the path to becoming a solution architect.”
